Gofundme update.

I want to give a warm thank you to everyone who donated, shared and gave condolences on behalf of my niece.
Today I sent off the funds to my brother and his family. I haven't talked to them much. I know they're still really struggling day to day with the impact of losing a child and having to go on. They have five other children. It's been hard for everyone to go back to normal life. To go back to work or shop for groceries and see her favorite cookie, to pass her work or high school. To go online and know she's never going to post again. It's a crushing feeling.
Hopefully this grand act of generosity lessens the burden on them. Lessens the reminder by helping with the dept of her funeral.
I will be taking down the gofundme but if anyone else would still like to donate I do still have a link directly to their churches donation fund for my niece. Just message in a note me and I will gladly give it out.
It never ceases to amaze me how kind and caring so many people can be. I feel like I can't say it enough and yet I'm somewhat speechless. So again, Thank you so much.

Hello, Sorry I've been off the radar this last year, this is the last reason I would want to return or come to you. I've never been a fan of doing these, but I feel I'm doing a large disservice by not at least trying. So please if you can take the time to share my post or spare a little if you can. Every little bit helps.

Last week my niece was involved in a two car accident that took her life and the life of one other. The intersection had a downed stop sign from a previous driver that did not report it. The driver of the semi truck that struck her vehicle was pronounced at the scene and she was life flight to the hospital.
She was on life support for five days before being announced due to brain death.
There was one unexpected silver-lining. Earlier this year my niece and her siblings were asked if they wanted to be part of the organ donation and most agreed. While she was on life support her father was given the option for organ donation on her behalf. Knowing she supported this choice he agreed and as a result she has been able to save the lives of five children. The hospital has also thankfully waved any medical costs for her selfless act.
I wish I could say that was enough and that her family can start the healing process but her funeral cost more than our family can collectively spare. The total expense amount is $8,000. I’m doing a gofundme for half of that. My husband and I have decided that instead of traveling the 400 miles to attend we will instead send our travel expense to help. This is what they need.
I’m not expecting to hit this mark, but if anyone is feeling generous or would like to share this story, it would be of immense help in this dark time.
